Sarah McCarthy is a highly skilled and compassionate dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). She holds a deep commitment to providing comprehensive mental health care to her patients, grounded in her belief that everyone deserves to be heard and respected.

Sarah began her academic journey at Smith College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then pursued her nursing education at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University, followed by advanced practice studies in Family Medicine at Simmons College. To further specialize in mental health, she completed her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at George Washington University.
With over seven years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Sarah is dedicated to caring for the whole patient. She understands that mental health is vital for everyone and that there is always room for improvement, no matter where you are on your journey. Her approach combines evidence-based practices with individualized care, utilizing a variety of therapeutic methods tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient. 
Sarah specializes in the management of depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and ADHD across all age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. She is committed to creating a supportive environment where you can feel comfortable and confident in your path to better mental health.

Outside the office, Sarah enjoys vacationing with her family, cuddling with her pet dogs, exploring the outdoors, and baking with her children.
